AMU.bio is a brand created by PLAKO, a Portuguese technologic that- in a logic of counter-cycle and withdrawal of large urban centers, due to the desire of interaction with the environment, and in a optical of reducing the negative impact on the planet - purchased a land with 1 hectare area in Póvoa de Lanhoso (next to the River Cávado) in 2011.

In this area, we decided to invest in a greenhouse of 500 m2 for the organic production of aromatic and medicinal plants AMU.bio.

Utopia is a project that aims to create an area where our presence has the least possible impact on the environment. The construction of the main building used 2,200 used tires, 11,000 soda cans, 75,000 cork stoppers, straw, cork and other reused and recycled materials.
